A drop-leaf table for which Rizzatto rejects any mechanical solutions in favour of the ancient Chinese approach that combines a simple movement – folding over a leaf – with a detail – a wooden foot joint. The result is of sheer elegance. All you have to do is slightly lift the upper tabletop when it is smallest and slide it; then the top joints with the foot allowing the extension, on one side or both. The maximum length is three meters. Frame and top in beechwood.
