Twin houses

The commission was to build ten 2-family houses on a sloping terrain with a beautiful view southwards over the Lombardy countryside. The five buildings are arranged in a two-row layout. The smaller three ones in the first line are outplaced so to leave enough space for the two second-line ones to enjoy the view towards the valley. Each one of the twin houses has a double-height framework on its south side, which stands as the settlement’s distinctive element and also as the most important room of the house.
