Good Design Award 2000 / Swiatlo Award 1999 / Blown glass: a very ancient manufacturing process for the diffuser. When a ball of glowing glass is pulled from the pot of molten material, it is rolled in an oxide compound, in order to obtain the chosen colours and effects. Each one is a unique piece. The support ring with handle, in die cast aluminium, easily demountable, secures the glass body to the support frame. The electric wire is load-bearing thanks to a steel mesh sheathing and to the compulsory path through a labyrinth in the frame. The ceiling rose houses the excess cable.
