Summer House

1973

Formentera (Spagna)

Situated in the pine-wood of Formentera, this holiday home recalls the Ibizian traditional architecture, built as aggregation of square modules, and combines it with the characteristics of the Mediterranean home (from the Egyptians through the Greeks up to the Romans). The house is set on a 2-storey central layout: sleeping rooms, bathroom and kitchen overlook the central double-height living room. Furniture is reduced to the minimum and replaced by wall niches, steps between flooring at different levels and sliding windows that hide in the walls.
